Day 9

It was soooo good to have a morning where we we did not have to pack up and move the trailer. We mad a delicious dutch oven breakfast. It consisted of smoked bacon from Canada, sautéed bell peppers and onions with hash browns. We mixed all of this together cracked some eggs over it to cook until they were over medium... yum.
Then it was off to a monumental day of Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse monument and museum. When we arrived at Mt Rushmore we took some photos and walked the presidential trail. Once we got our fill of taking pictures from all angles, we headed to the Crazy Horse Monument. There we learned about the history and purpose, and how the whole place was privately funded, no governmental contributions. The monument is still in progress, but once finished it will be taller than the tallest pyramid. There were also some amazing hoop dancers from the Lakota tribe.
Next, we tried some red ass rubarb wine. It was a fun little winery with both traditional and fun creative wines. Next we then did some more tasting at two more breweries and one more winery. At the end we definitely had our fill.
