Dead bear brewing co

Definitely approve of this place. This was a great stumble upon while finding gas.

Day 2

So, sleeping in a Walmart parking lot was not as bad as I anticipated. The cats though were not impressed having to go back in the crate in the morning. Cali gave DH and I both some battle wounds trying to get her back in the crate. We are hoping for 450 mile under our belt today to get to Mackinac Island.

Ohio and Mexican food?

Who would of thought? Then the coleslaw came out with the salsa and I knew it was Ohio-Mex...

Catching up on dutch oven cooking

One of the perks to living small is the Dutch oven cooking. Here are some fun creations we have come up with.

Day 1

We are now ready to boogey. We had an amazing last few days in Maryland. Our friends all came together to give us a farewell gathering. It was bitter sweet with leaving all our amazing friends behind and we even had our travel trailer neighbor write us a super sweet note saying she wishes us the best. Despite me being a bit sappy, we are so excited about all the things ahead of us, both under foot and wheel.

Our Temporary Home

While we wrapped things up in Maryland we moved into an awesome RV park for 2 months called Ramblin' Pines. We got a site on the back loop which felt like we were in the woods. One of our neighbors was never there, and that is not an exaggeration. Given how expensive the sites were we thought that it was odd that we didn't see them once. Our other neighbor was a super sweet traveling nurse who loved saying hi to Daisy each time she came in.

The 2 months flew by. It was surprisingly comfortable in the trailer with the dog and 2 cats. We went on lots of walks, including some to the resident goats named Jack and Jill. With all of this practice living out of the trailer and all of the kinks worked out we are ready to hit the road!

Random huge mushroom near our site which popped up overnight

Starting a New Chapter with a Long Journey

After spending six years on the east, coast we decided to pack up and go west. So we sold our house and "upgraded" to a 24 ft. travel trailer. We had to do a bit of slimming down of our must have items, but what really matters is that we can now take our new home on a journey. Hopefully we survive this zig-zag trip across the norther part of America and some of Canada with our two cats and our dog for the next few weeks. It should be fun and exciting since we are doing this completely no reservation.
