Day 11

Been a bit since we have had internet and cell service. Time to upload a bunch.

Spent the night just outside of Wild Bill Hickok old stomping ground of Deadwood, South Dakota. This the first day where we have felt the heat. The morning quickly warmed up to 80 by 8:00 for daisy's walk and was in the 90's by noon.
Before leaving the Black Hills we needed to check out the gorgeous waterfalls and gorgeous they were. We visited bridal veil falls, spearfish falls and roughlock falls. All were amazing; beautiful free falls with cascading rapids.

Packing and hitching up the trailer this time only took 30 minutes, far cry from the hour and a half we took the first time. Fun fact, the cats don't even see the crates anymore. We just carry them from the trailer to the truck and vise versa. Each has found their own little hidey hole. Midnight likes to cuddle with Daisy in her bed and Callie sits on top of the crates either sleeping or looking out the window.
On the way to Yellowstone we stopped at the nation's first national monument, Devil's Tower.  This was a spectacular site, an old magma chamber that cooled and then the surrounding material eroded away exposing the beautiful pillars of igneous rock.

We fished the day spending the night right outside of Yellowstone, ready for more sights and adventures.
